Cambria Suites Hotel – South Boston – Rockland, MA

Rockland, MA is a noticeably under-served area where currently there are no attractive, modern hotel options. The Cambria Suites site, at the intersection of Hingham and Commerce streets, is on Rte. 228 and just ¼-mile from Rte. 3, which leads directly into Boston proper.

Rockland offers easy access to Boston by car, commuter line to South Station, and bus.  It is home to several major companies including two adjacent to the site: the brand-new 200,000 sq. ft. North American headquarters of Swiss biotech company Serono, Inc., which specializes in women’s health, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield, whose 325,000 sq. ft. regional headquarters accommodate 2,000 employees. Additionally, a 14,000-acre mixed-use development called SouthField, comprised of office, retail, residential, and leisure activities such as a golf course, is under construction on the grounds of the now-closed South Weymouth Naval Air Base (1.25 miles from the site).
